Have you ever heard of Plantar Fasciitis?

Does the first step you take after getting out of bed in the morning feel like you stepped on ice pick?  If the answer is yes, you may suffer from Plantar Fasciitis. Simply explained, plantar fasciitis is inflammation of a thick band of tissue that runs underneath the foot.  This tissue runs from the heel bone to the base of the toes, and when inflamed, tends to cause sharp pain in the bottom of the heel that will travel into the arch of the foot.

Common causes of Foot and Heel Pain:

  • Choice of foot wear
  • Working Longer Shifts
  • New Fitness Routines
  • Flat feet or high arches
  • Tightness in certain muscle groups
  • Abnormal walking mechanics
  • Prolonged standing on hard surfaces
